Admissions 2027–28
We have tried to make this the plainest page on the site. Applications for the 2027–28 academic year close on 31 July 2026, and campus tours run every Saturday at 10 am during term. Read the steps below, come and see an ordinary school day, and ask us anything you are unsure about.
The calendar
Nothing here needs to be rushed. If you miss the tour one Saturday, there is another the next. If a date is unclear, a phone call sorts it out.
From 1 June 2026. Enquiry forms may be submitted online or collected at the office from this date.
Every Saturday at 10 am through the term. Walk in, or ring ahead so we can expect you. No appointment is required.
On 31 July 2026. Kindergarten places tend to fill first, so an early enquiry helps — but a late one is always heard.
From mid-August 2026. Offers are made in writing, with a clear window in which to confirm the place.
These dates are indicative and may shift a little from year to year. Please confirm the current schedule with the admissions office on 044 2599 1795 before you plan around them.
How to apply
Start to finish, most families are through this in a few weeks. There is no queue to jostle in, and no advantage to be gained by hurrying.
Come to a Saturday tour, or arrange a weekday visit by telephone. See the corridors, meet a teacher, watch a class if one is in session. We would rather you saw the ordinary day than a staged one.
About an hour
Fill in the enquiry form at the bottom of this page, or collect a printed form at the office. Either way, someone from the school will be in touch to walk you through what happens next.
Ten minutes
For Classes I and above, we hold a brief, low-pressure conversation to understand where a child is starting from. It is diagnostic, not competitive — there is nothing to cram for, and there is no interaction at all for Kindergarten.
Twenty to thirty minutes
Where a place is offered, we confirm it in writing and check the documents listed further down this page. Bring the originals; we take copies and hand the originals straight back.
Within two weeks
Complete the admission formalities and the fee for the term, and your child is enrolled. You will be told exactly what the first day looks like, and who to ask if anything is unclear.
On a day that suits you
Eligibility
The guide below covers the usual entry points. CBSE and state guidance on ages is revised periodically, so please treat these as a rule of thumb and let the office confirm the cut-off that applies in your child's year.
LKG
Your child should have completed 3 years of age by 31 July of the year they join.
UKG
Your child should have completed 4 years of age by 31 July of the year they join.
Class I
Your child should have completed 5 years of age by 31 July of the year they join.
There is no entrance test for Kindergarten. Cut-off dates are set by CBSE and state norms and are reviewed from time to time — the admissions office will confirm the current requirement for your child's class before you apply.
Paperwork
Bring the originals along with a set of photocopies. We verify the originals in front of you and return them the same day — nothing of your child's is kept.
If a document is delayed for a genuine reason, tell the office — we would rather help you sort it out than turn you away over a form.
A look inside
Fees
We would rather not publish a figure here that turns out to be last year's. The fee is modest for a CBSE school, revised once a year, and always explained in full before you commit to anything.
Concessions exist for families in genuine financial difficulty. These are handled privately and with discretion by the Principal, Sr. Dr. Peter Selvarani — please ask, in confidence. No child's schooling is decided by a family's circumstances alone.
Enquiry
This is an enquiry, not a commitment. Fill in what you can — the fields marked with an asterisk are the only ones we truly need — and someone from the office will be in touch to arrange your visit.
Before you ask
If yours isn't here, call the office on 044 2599 1795 — a person answers.
No. We are a Catholic minority institution founded by the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, and we admit children of all faiths and none. No child is ever required to take part in worship; students of other traditions follow a values and ethics course in place of religious instruction.
Where a family already has a child with us, we do our best to keep siblings together and give their enquiry due consideration. It is not an automatic guarantee of a place, but please tell us on the form — it genuinely helps us plan.
Sometimes. Mid-year admissions depend on whether a seat is free in the relevant class and on the transfer certificate from the previous school. Families relocating to the area are welcome to ask — ring the office and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
School transport currently serves Thiruvottiyur, Ennore, Manali, Tondiarpet and the neighbourhoods around them. Routes are reviewed each year, so please ask the office for the current map and stops before you apply.
Nothing formal — just yourselves and your questions. If you already know you would like to apply, you are welcome to bring your child's documents so we can talk you through them, but there is no obligation to. The tour is free and takes about an hour.
Admissions 2027–28
No call centre, no forms to navigate first. Ring the office during working hours and you will speak to someone who can actually help — or drop in on any Saturday tour at 10 am.
